Charles Earl Henderson

Charles Earl Henderson Jr, 51, was born in Los Angeles, CA on Tuesday April 15, 1969 and passed away in Riverside, CA on Saturday, August 8, 2020. Charles was the only child of Charles and Renee Henderson. Charles graduated from San Pedro high school in 1987 and later went on to earn his Bachelor degree in Ethnic Studies from UC Riverside in 1998. Charles became a dad in 1997 to twin boys, Khalil and Azail. He was a devoted father and exceptional role model for his two sons. Charles was always present and caring for his children. He coached them in basketball and baseball when they were young, took them on road trips and molded them into smart, handsome young men. Charles was a dedicated Customer Care Advocate with Smith & Noble for 14 years. He was a five-star rated employee who positively impacted his co-workers and the customers he served. The Chicago Bears and USC Trojans were two of Charles' favorite sports teams. He was quick to bet his favorite drink, Pepsi, that his team would win. He was a 1990's hip-hop and rap aficionado. He could easily quote the lyrics to any KRS-One or Common song. One of his favorite places to visit was Amoeba Records music store. And Charles was for the culture, Pro-Black/African-American in every way. He showed his passion for the Black community by supporting black authors and musicians, he even recorded all of Spike Lee’s movies. Charles was a remarkable son, father, partner and friend. Charles leaves to cherish his memory, his mother Renee, his two sons Khalil and Azail and countless other relatives and friends.
