George Giovannini

On March 16th 1946 George was born in Los Angeles,Ca. He was raised in El Monte Ca, he was raised amongst 19 siblings. He eventually joined the Army and served as a cook in Vietnam and in Korea. He met his wife Joann while stationed in Harlem Georgia in 1970 at the NCO Club, they danced to Ray Charles all night. The one thing that George really liked about Joann was her legs. He just couldn't keep hi eyes off of them. George was the only customer that never tipped Joann, all of the waitresses told Joann that she would Marry him and she did. He then decided to resign from the Army because he wanted to settle down and have a family. They bought their first home in Walnut Ca in 1972. They eventually raised three wonderful children and enjoyed their family life. In 1995 they decided to sale their first home and downsize to their home in La Puente. He loved Elvis Presley and wore a big curl in front of his face like to look like him. Mom never liked it when he tried to sing. The one thing George was really passionate about was his family, rather it would be his immediate family or his brothers and sisters. He also really had a passion for bowling. He would also take so many family photos and videos of everyone to create memories. George loved to decorate around the holidays especially Christmas and Halloween. His wife's family in Harlem really loved him. The funniest moment is when they tried to get him to eat collard greens and he said that it made him sick to his stomach. For many years Joann actually served him collard green and told him it was spinach. George was the last male sibling to pass, and is now leaves behind 8 sisters, 3 kids, 5 grandkids, 7 great grandkids and 1 soon to be. George passed away in his home in La Puente on May 6th 2022.
