Mary Ellen Manor

April 19, 1939 - January 27, 2022

Longtime and former resident of Santa Cruz County, Mary Ellen Manor passed away at the age of 82 on January 27, 2022 at her home in Murietta California after a brief illness. Mary moved to Watsonville in 1956 with her parents and settled in the Seabright area of Santa Cruz in 1963 where she raised 5 children with her husband until his passing in 2014. Mary moved to Southern California in 2017 to be nearer to 3 of her daughters, grand children and great grand children. Mary was a member of the Italian Catholic Federation's branch 21 of Santa Cruz where she held the positions of trustee, district deputy, 2nd Vice President and 1st Vice President. Mary was also active in the Santa Cruz Elk's Lodge's Emblem Club where she was elected President for one of the years. Mary was born in Plattsburgh New York on April 19, 1939. She was preceded in death by her husband Russell, her sister Barbara and sister Shirley. She is survived by her brother Paul Brown of Idaho, her daughter Debra Hatcher of San Marcos, California, daughter Audrey Chapman of Sacramento, California: son Alan Manor of Watsonville, daughter Nancy Alexander of Chandler, Arizona and daughter Valerie Dungan of Murrieta, California along with 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren with an 8th great grandchild due in March. Bequests in her honor can be made to the Hospice Caring Project. Her funeral will be held at the Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, California and will be attended by immediate family on March 2, 2022.
