Mr. Ramon Coz Nieto

April 1, 1938 - August 22, 2020

Ramon "Papa" Nieto was born in Yuma, Arizona to Fermin Coz and Angelita Nieto on April 1, 1938 Ramon is preceded in death by his father Fermin, mother Angelita, brother Fermin Nieto Jr., sister Gloria Villa and wife he adored Jo Ann Nieto. Ramon proudly served in the Marine Corps as a Military Police Officer/ Cross Country Chaser. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local #12 for nearly 50 years, and was literally the best in the business until he retired. Ramon supported over 15 charities including the Lakota Children's Fund and Wounded and Hospitalized Veterans Foundation.He was a member of the American Legion since 1971 and The Fraternal Order of The Eagles since 1990.He leaves behind his aunt Carmine "Connie", brother David Villa, sister Frances "Pancha" Garcia and her husband Jose Garcia. Ramon's children , grandchildren and great grandchildren:Son Ramon Prickett, his son Wesley Harris & wife Tiara Cox , their children Meleah, and Grayson, his daughter Kori LaPalme & her husband T Bailey LaPalme Daughter Bernadette Nieto and her children ; Reana Salle , Rachel Sallee, Tomas Markussen and his son Brodie Peckham McCloud, Vernon "Lewie" Markussen his wife Rebecca and their daughter Nahla Cortes-Markussen. Daughter Darienne Tenorio and her children Richard Painter Jr, Daisy Painter- Leon her son Matthew Leon and Rebecca Tenorio. Son Ramon"Ray" Metcalf , wife Amy Metcalf , their children Sarah Metcalf, Ryan Metcalf and Nathan Metcalf.Daughter Mindy Conant, her husband Joshua Conant and their children Sabrina Conant, Jake Conant and Sophia Conant, and niece Hailey Lewis and her husband Michael "Zack" Lewis. He will be so greatly missed , every day for the rest of our time here on earth.Ramon Coz Nieto was a good man. He was classy, funny, mischievous, giving, gentle, kind and wise. The world will be a lot more dim without his megawatt smile. Rest in Peace Papa. We love you.
