Virginia Kay Boda
February 9, 1954 - January 30, 2022
Virginia "Ginger" Kay Boda went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 30, 2022 surrounded by loved ones. Ginger was born on February 9, 1954 in El Segundo, California to Theodore and Evelyn Olson. She grew up in Anaheim, California along with her three older siblings. Ginger lost both her parents as a teenager. She graduated from Savanna High School in 1972, where she met the love of her life, Mark Boda. They married in 1976 and went on to have three children. Ginger and Mark celebrated 39 years of marriage before he passed in 2015. Ginger always had a passion for writing since a young age. She wrote countless short stories and poems. Ginger worked in customer service throughout her life at various jobs but loved being home raising her children as much as possible; recording every moment on video or camera. She loved our Lord Jesus Christ and found strength and peace through him. She weaved tradition and faith into her everyday life and instilled those same principles in her children and grandchildren. Throughout her years she enjoyed toll painting, cooking, baking and family camping trips. She loved holiday traditions and her heart was always full when she was surrounded by family. Her energy could light up a room and her favorite motto was, "Make a memory everyday!" Her grandkids will always remember Nana's silly songs she would sing, games she would play with them and her big giant hugs. Ginger is survived by her two sons, Jason and Danny, her daughter Alisha and sister Faye. Ginger was blessed with 11 grandchildren. She will be missed greatly each and every day.
